BTW that feature does not work in Virtual DJ, you would have to get the mapping software from Virtual DJ to map correctly.Note that I have not used this in a club setting so Im not sure how clearly you can see the labels in a dark environment. The unit itself is surprisingly light, so I can see it being used as a relatively portable console.
On the back there are 2 analog inputs, a Mic input, Stereo Master Output, USB output and Power port. The headphone jack, as pictured, is located at the front of the unit for easy access. Setup was pretty simple plug in all the cables as instructed and voila, I was ready to spin. Installation for the driver of the console on a PC wasnt really that straight forward (I guess they could have done a better job), but if you follow instructions it should be pretty easy the PC soon recognized and installed the device as a MIDI controller. Installation of Traktor on my machine on the other hand was a breeze but it did require me to register with Native Instruments during the setup process but if you are already a member you can just simply login. Behringer Bcd 3000 Mac Shined AsAnd the beauty of Mac shined as it automatically recognized the MIDI controller without any additional driver. ![]() On Traktor 3 LE: basically it is a watered-down version of the full-Traktor but if you dont need any of the fancy features of the full version (four decks support, advance beat match and loop options, etc.), this version does suffice the basic functions. Behringer Bcd 3000 Trial Version ButNote that this is NOT a trial version but a fully-functional software that supports two decks, but on the other hand the annoying thing is at every startup and shut-down process it pops up the reminder to buy the full-version, did anyone figure out how to turn that off One thing I do wish they included is the different loop options available in the full version in the LE version the only option is 4-beat loop, and many times that doesnt work too well with the track. The Traktor software responds quickly to the controller commands without notable latency. One bug I discovered during my two-session play was that when using the beat-match (sync) option the BPM of the two decks are in-sync; which the pitch control bar in Traktor adjust to the beat change but the same does not reflect on the controller. In such case, if you choose to use the pitch-control again on the controller it will shift the pitch drastically since it does not correspond to the original position. Another minor suggestion is that I wish the cross-fader is a bit more sensitive as it produces better seamless mixes. This couldve been disastrous if it was a real gig since I assume most people dont carry around drivers with them (time to get a new mac for me. I have also realized that Tracktor is a memory-intensive application and if you do have multiple apps running in the background or just not sufficient memory or processing power it will have problems, otherwise it has been working fine for me. Either way I dont think it is a problem of the hardware itself. And more recently, there have been patches released to fix some bugs encountered with Leopard OS. I have a windows vista and xp box, and was able to get it to work kind of with the vista, using the sound card from the actual computer, not the bcd3000 sound card. It would sometimes give me blue screen of death and shutdown the computer in a session. I hence have move to the xp system to run I like virtual dj a lot better than the software it comes with. The only problem I am having right now is the talk over, I wish we could talk over both channels, DECK A and DECK B.
